This Privacy Policy explains what information Flixfer collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. By using Flixfer you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: If you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. Name and billing details are only collected if you upgrade to a paid plan.
• Uploaded files: Files you upload for processing or sharing are stored temporarily and deleted automatically (see Section 3). We do not read or analyse the contents of your files.
• Usage data: We collect standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — to keep the service running and secure.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the tools and file-sharing features.
• To manage your account and any paid subscription.
• To detect abuse and protect the platform from misuse.
• To display ads and analyse aggregate traffic trends (if analytics/ads are enabled — see Section 4).

3. File Storage and Deletion

• Temporary storage: Uploaded files are stored only as long as needed for the operation — typically until the transfer link expires or the tool finishes processing.
• Auto-deletion: Files are permanently deleted after expiry. No backup copies are kept.
• Browser-side tools: Many tools (JSON formatter, QR generator, text tools, etc.) run entirely in your browser and never send your data to our servers.
• Encryption in transit: All uploads and downloads are protected by TLS.

4. Analytics, Ads, and Cookies

• Google Analytics: Used to understand aggregate site usage. Collects anonymised browsing data via cookies. You can opt out via Google's opt-out extension.
• Google AdSense: If ads are active, Google may set cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing. See Google Ad Settings to manage personalisation.
• Both services are only active when enabled in site settings. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers necessary to operate the site, under confidentiality obligations.
• Payment processors (if applicable), solely to complete transactions.
• Authorities, if required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] or use our Data Deletion Request page.

7. Children

Flixfer is not directed at children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Flixfer after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
